C-DAC Mumbai Participation
Language Computing Group members gave two-paper presentations on following topics:
Migrating IndiX from Xfree 86 to Xorg, by Siji Sunny and Amit Pundir. The talk discussed the challenges involved in Migrating IndiX from Xfree 86 to Xorg.
Another 'world' is possible-Through indicbhaaratii, by Ganti Santosh and Sobi Pillai. The talk focused on how we can all come together and work together making use of indicbhaaratii a multilingual portal.

Event 3:
Orientation Programme I & II

As part of community participation, two Orientation Programs under Language Computing Group took place recently. These programs oriented the participants in the word list editing, technical terms translation and content development activities in Marathi Language. 1st Orientation Program held at Air India Building on 10th Nov 2006 where 27 participants attended the full day session. 2nd Orientation Program was held at Juhu office on 9th Dec 2006 where 87 participants out of registered no.106 were exposed to various activities to be undertaken using Marathi Language. Further follow up in terms of actual work sessions is in progress.
