Veda
Outcome:
To develop an online testing and question banking system for use in academic and corporate.
About Veda:
Veda's question bank consists of a pool of questions. Questions are organized into topics and topics have user-specific rights which control the access and manipulation of questions. Veda supports a variety of questions containing text as well as multimedia. Through rich user interface, a teacher can create and edit questions, quizzes and exams and administer the exam to a group of students. Veda takes care of abrupt system crashes due to external factors (like network connection failure) by detailed and high frequency logging to restore the exam status of the student with minimum loss.
The testing framework supports positive as well as negative marking scheme. Veda generates a wide range of analysis reports providing extensive information about performance of students, exams, quizzes, questions etc. This information is repetitively updated and can be used in appropriate selection of a question ( with a known difficulty level and/or discrimination parameter and/or correlation coefficient), diagnosis of certain problems like ambiguous or wrong options, identifying strength and weakness of student etc. This in turn will make the system more efficient and accurate.
